Alexandre Gama heads one of the top 20 advertising firms in Brazil, Neogama, and presently serves as its Chief Executive Officer. He started his career in the field of publicity by joining Standard and Ogilvy, one of the most reputed advertising firms on the planet. At Ogilvy, Alexandre worked as a copywriter. Alexandre Gama did his graduation from Fundacao Armando Alvares Penteado, where he studied Advertising and Propaganda. Alexandre Gama is the only Brazilian on the board of Global Creative Board, which is an international committee consisting of six leaders from the creative world associated with the Publicis Groupe Holding Company.
After leaving Standard and Ogilvy, Alexandre Gama worked at DM9 for four years and was named the most decorated and awarded writer of the time in Brazil. It was in 1999; Alexandre Gama started Neogama after leaving Young and Rubicam, where he served as President and CEO for a few years. In the year 2008, he was the only Latin American to hold a magna class at the reputed and internationally famous Cannes Film Festival. In 2012, Alexandre Gama became one of the members of the Board of the Brazilian Association of Advertising Agencies, which was responsible for marketing and publicizing the interest of Brazilian marketing agencies across the globe.
The ad agency started by Alexandre Gama, Neogama managed to win Lions at the Cannes Film Festival the first year itself of its operations. It is the first Brazilian Advertising agency to achieve the said recognition in its first year of work itself.
